End of Summer
As the final days of summer drag along, the Creator reaches for a palette of brown, tan, and burnt yellow. The handful of humans who inhabit this season gaze upon brittle stems and dropping leaves and wonder aloud whether any life could possibly be left.
But God smiles.
Looking kindly upon both plants and people, He says:
“Don’t rush me. I’m not finished yet.”

“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!” Ezekiel 37:5
“There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.” Philippians 1:6
