Journey
One step at a time
“We can study and discuss what Jesus came to do for mankind. We can learn all the prophecies about Jesus and give our assent to them. They can even become our creeds and beliefs. But it is when we realize that He knows we do not have any bread, and that He is starting it down the table to us, that we suddenly know Who He is. He has been with us in our journey. He has been there all the time” (Bob Benson).

It has often been said that faith is a journey. And that is true. The Bible reminds us frequently that following Jesus is a lifelong process, with plenty of twists and turns. Yet it is usually when we are traveling the lowest points of the path that we gain our greatest clarity. It is when our footsteps are the heaviest that it dawns on us that God has already seen our need - and that He has “been there all the time.”
None of us has arrived yet. None of us has this faith journey all figured out. But somehow we are content to know that we are on this journey of following Jesus - together. And together we fix our eyes on Jesus.
