According to a 2007 study, people begin attending their local church primarily because of a personal relationship or recommendation.  The top 5 reasons people first came to their church?

  1. I was invited by a friend or relative.
  2. Someone recommended it to me.
  3. I know someone who attended.
  4. I was looking for churches in my area.
  5. I heard about it/drove by it and wanted to check it out.

Taking it to the streets
