ACTS Church Lakeway is a great place for kids to grow. Our kids’ space is an underwater world containing a “sandy” stage, vibrant coral reef, climbable volcano, and animal-filled ark. You’ll sense Adventure from the moment you walk in, not just from the facility itself but from the energetic volunteers and the hands-on learning process. Our certified staff and adult volunteers like to have fun, and they have a passion for helping kids get launched on a lifelong quest of knowing and following Jesus. Our goal is to partner with you to make the greatest impact in your child’s life. Together we will do our best to prepare them for the life God has planned for them!

KidsQuest (Age 4 through 4th grade)
Kids begin their ACTS Sunday-morning experience along with their families in the worship area. After the opening singing, prayers, and Scripture with the adults, our kids go to their own area for a learning time that is tailored just for them.

As kids move into our underwater world, they are immediately immersed in creative large-group activities. Next they transition into age-appropriate-groups where they hear a Bible story, ask questions, do crafts, and play games. Our goal is that each child would hear the message about Jesus’ love in words that he or she can understand and apply to life.

Both KidsQuest and Grapple (5th and 6th grades) use a curriculum called “FaithWeaver Now.” Each week both age groups explore the same topic. They take home a Parent Sheet which explains what they learned that day, so the conversation can continue at home.  ACTS walks kids through the entire Bible on a three-year cycle with an approach that gets kids excited to learn. ACTS kids discover how to apply God’s Word to their lives and share their faith with others!

Vacation Bible School

Each year ACTS hosts a VBS the first week of August (Monday through Friday) from 5:30 – 8:15 p.m. Last year we went on a Cave Quest. In 2017, we will learn that we are “Created by God, Built for a Purpose” by Maker Fun Factory!

VBS is FREE and dinner is included! Kids four-years-old and older are welcome to participate. We would love for students who are in 4th or 5th grade and older to serve as junior crew leaders. High school students and older often serve as awesome senior crew leaders, and adults are welcome to volunteer in any capacity! Email Andrea for more information!

Kids on Mission
Kids at ACTS are encouraged to live out their faith at a young age. They get to participate in kid-friendly sending projects with their families. They write letters, make crafts, and raise money through their offering to support our friends in a small village in Guatemala. Last year they collected over $1300 through Vacation Bible School and Sunday offerings. That money was sent to Guatemala to support students attending leadership retreats and to purchase a daily nutritional drink for school-age children.
