Kids grow at ACTS!
ACTS Church Lakeway is a great place for kids to grow. Our one-and-a-half-story kids’ space might remind you of a big treehouse! You’ll sense the adventure from the moment you walk in, not just from the facility itself, but from the energetic volunteers and the hands-on learning process. Our certified adult volunteers like to have fun, and they have a passion for kids to get launched on a lifelong quest of knowing and following Jesus.
Nursery (Infant through Age 3)
The littlest ones at ACTS have their own dedicated space perched in a room overlooking our main kids’ zone. Just a few steps away from our worship and lobby areas, the nursery is outfitted and staffed to keep children content and safe while their parents are participating in worship or serving in a volunteer capacity.
KidsQuest (Age 4 through 4th grade)
If you are able to join us for one of our weekend Gatherings, you’ll quickly discover the excitement of KidsQuest. Kids begin their weekly experience at ACTS along with their families in the worship area. Then, after the opening singing, prayers, and Scripture, our kids go to their own area for a learning time that is tailored just for them. Our safe and dedicated staff take the week’s main point and drive it home, using creative presentations and discussion in age-appropriate small groups.
Grapple (5th & 6th grade)
Grapple is a unique experience where kids in the 5th and 6th grades begin wrestling with some of the deeper questions of faith and life. Like KidsQuest, Grapple meets during the 'Message' portion of our weekly Worship Gatherings. Grapple is tailored to engage pre-teens in a relationship with caring mentors, with other kids their age, and with Christ. In a word... Grapple is SuperAwesome!
Special events
In addition to our weekend KidsQuest program, ACTS hosts special seasonal events for kids. Programs like Vacation Bible School (VBS) come with an extra dose of energy and provide a great opportunity for inviting friends. The kids of ACTS also participate regularly in local mission events, where they experience what it’s like to be ‘sent.’ Our goal is to not only keep kids safe, but to connect them to the mission of ACTS: ‘Sending changed people into a changing world.'
