As students transition from Grapple into their teen-years, ACTS offers a two-year Cross Fit Training experience. “CrossFit” is a physical program that gets your body into shape. At Cross Fit Training we get our heart, mind and soul into spiritual shape. It takes hard work but makes us healthy and is rewarding. 7th- and 8th-graders meet about twice a month to discuss their faith, build relationships, and grow in their understanding of their relationship with Jesus. They spend a year learning about the Old and New Testaments, their spiritual gifts, Baptism, and Communion. During the alternate year, they explore the Ten Commandments, Confession and forgiveness, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Apostles’ Creed. ACTS’ Cross Fit Training includes meals together, games, retreats, service, and discussions within the family. This multi-layered experience leads to a public recognition of spiritual growth and the opportunity for each student to ‘confirm’ his or her own faith in Jesus.
